A Day at the Beach...

One of our favorite things to do in Upstate New York is going to the beach in Lake George, a tourist town next to the city I grew up in. (I actually spent three summers of high school and two summers of college working in a gift shop in Lake George.) We arrived after breakfast, had a picnic lunch there and stayed until dinner. The kids were excited to find clam and snail shells but the best part for them was building sand castles with motes.
You can't see it too well in the background of the picture below, but there are steamboats that we've taken the kids on in prior years. Dagan practiced some skills that he learned in swim lessons which the kids all took in June right before we left for New York.
Morgan looked so cute chasing after seagulls. He definitely needs to learn how to be more subtle in his approach though!
Logan loved having no limitations on the water guns. Anything was fair game!
We bought each kid a boat which Dagan used the most.
This shovel standing on end was about as tall as Morgan!
We had barely pulled out of the parking lot when all three kids were peacefully sleeping after a day of sun and swimming!
